Operating since 2022, Dromoni’s factory reflects our ambition to set new standards in the fishing industry and strengthen Georgia’s position as a modern maritime nation.
STRATEGICALLY LOCATED FOR QUALITY & EFFICIENCY
Our factory in Kulevi was strategically positioned to create a direct route between the Black Sea and our processing facility.
Located along the Khobi River, our factory allows freshly caught fish to be quickly transported from boat to factory, preserving its freshness.
Away from populated urban areas, this site enables large-scale processing activity while avoiding industrial noise for surrounding communities.
REVIVING HISTORICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
A defining feature of our factory is the reconstruction and rehabilitation of a 260-meter dock, which had been abandoned since the mid-1900s. Beyond its operational role in delivering fresh fish directly to our factory, this dock represents a significant strategic asset.
With the capacity to accommodate multiple vessels, it has the potential to serve as an additional maritime access point for the region, supporting broader economic activity and future development.
Anchovies are caught in the Black Sea, along Georgia's western coast.
The catch is transported directly from the Black Sea to our factory through the Khobi River, reducing handling time and preserving freshness.
Anchovies are unloaded directly at the factory site and transferred immediately for processing
